The only hibiscus that grows wild in Texas, this plant produces bright red blooms in warm weather and loves moist soil with some sun. It can be sensitive to too much direct sunlight. The leaves are very similar to leaves of a plant that is currently illegal to grow in Texas, so be prepared for some interesting questions.
