Landscape Plans for Shade with Dry Soil
Daunted by shady areas in your yard where nothing seems to grow? Our native plants are perfect for shade gardens. Many native plant species live naturally in the forest understory and thrive in areas that only received indirect, dappled, or morning sun.
These designs are for spots that receive dappled, indirect sun, or less than four hours of direct sun per day (type 2-3) and do not retain water in the soil for multiple days.
Plan for a small shaded bed or shaded portion of a front yard.
